Welcome to Year 6!
The dedicated Y6 teaching staff are Miss Kirtley and Miss Pratt.
Y6 can be a challenging year as it is the year SAT’s takes place, so maths, reading and writing are our core focus at the heart of our curriculum. These aren’t all we do though, with fun and exciting subjects taking place such as STEM, science, history, geography and global citizenship!
Our focus for the next term in history is The American Civil War. Is it the most important event in American history?
Geography takes us all over the world as we learn all about the continents, oceans and key countries and cities.
Reading this half term takes us on a journey with class 4C as they learn a lot about themselves and caring for others in Anne Fine’s Flour Babies.
This really is an important year for your Y6 child, so if you have any concerns or queries please do not hesitate to come and speak to us!
